Piemonte Land of Wine was founded on 29 July 2011 to offer Piedmontese wine consortia a meeting point to exchange views, to identify operativity and common strategies useful for the promotion of Piedmontese wine in Italy and worldwide.
Piemonte Land, which today represents all 14 wine consortia officially authorised by the Ministry of Agriculture, promotes the more than 44,000 hectares of Piedmontese vineyards, which extend from the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo to the foothills of the Alps. A great oenological heritage, 80 per cent of which is made up of the 19 DOCG and 41 regional DOC wines.
The first Italian experience of sharing promotional policies between consortia, Piemonte Land continues its work unceasingly in favour not only of wines, but also of agrifood excellence and the beauty of one of the most important wine-growing regions in the world, whose territories became a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2014.
